Former Sivutsa Stars striker Risco Mathonsi has joined Dynamos, as the club look to bolster their attacking department in an attempt to salvage their NFD status.
Mathonsi is one of the players that have been signed to help the Shepherd Murape-coached side avoid the drop to the SAFA Second Division.
The Limpopo-based team is rooted at the foot of the NFD log with just one win so far this season. Murape is hoping that the striker can make a difference in front of goal and help the team claw their way up the table standings.
A lack of progress in the next few games could result in disaster for the former PSL outfit. With the intention of regaining their status in South Africa’s elite tier of football, relegation to the SAFA Second Division will be a massive blow to their long-term aspirations.
However, if they do not turn their fortunes around within the next few games, Dynamos will be seen as serious relegation contenders.
