Orlando Pirates midfielder Mpho Makola is frustrated at his lack of game time at the club. The 26-year-old joined the defending league champions at the beginning of the season after completing a move from Free State Stars.
However, the Youth Development Academy product has received very little game time in the star-studded Bucs midfield, under coach Roger de Sa, and wants regular competitive action.
A source close to the player has explained to the Siya crew that Makola is determined on establishing himself in De Sa’s team once the league resumes in February.
“The player has been doing his own training during the break. He has been working hard in the gym preparing for the second round of the season. He wants to play. He can’t afford to go the whole season without playing, he doesn’t want that,” said the source.
Bibo, as Makola is affectionally know in football circles, has made just two league starts so far this season, however is aiming on turning his situation around.
