Kaizer Chiefs defender Morgan Gould says that he is on his way to recovery, in his rehabilitation. Gould’s season ended earlier than the rest of his teammates, after the Bafana Bafana defender tore ligaments in his knee against Golden Arrows, back in April.
“I am doing light workout at the moment as part of the rehabilitation process. I feel that I am making a steady progress towards recovery,” Gould told kaizerchiefs.com.
Gould is an influential member of Stuart Baxter’s squad. Together with Tefu Mashamaite and Mulomowandau Mathoho, Gould formed a solid partnership in the Amakhosi defence, in Baxter’s adapted five-man defence.
Chiefs will need the player back to his best for the 2013/14 season, as they aim to defend their league and Nedbank Cup trophies. The player’s experience will be vital for Chiefs in their CAF Champions League campaign.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will clash on July 27, with the title of 2013 Carling Black Label Cup champions up for grabs.
