Former Bafana Bafana international, Lance Davids, is set to finalise his return to Ajax Cape Town within the next 48 hours.
The 27-year-old midfielder has suffered a tough time at Belgian club Lierse SK, having struggled to break into their first team, and the Siya crew revealed last year that the Urban Warriors were planning to bring him back to the club.
Davids enjoyed an impressive 2009/2010 season in Ajax colours before making the move to Belgium and the club will be hoping that he can rekindle that form, should he rejoin.
There had been talks of a possible loan move for Davids in the last transfer window, however that move broke down and he remained in Europe.
The crew reported back in October of 2012 that it was likely that the midfielder would be joining the Urban Warriors in early 2013, and it now looks as though our predictions are set to be proven correct.
It is thought that the reason for Davids imminent arrival is due to the fact that the club’s Dutch midfielder, Koen van de Laak, is set to undergo meniscus surgery that could rule him out for the rest of the season.
