Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Onismor Bhasera is in Johannesburg, however on personal business. Bhasera has been looking for a new club after parting ways with English League Two side Plymouth Argyle.
Although Bhasera’s agent, Ralph Nkomo, wouldn’t reveal all the details of the player’s visit to South Africa, he confirmed to the Siya crew that he is working on a potential deal overseas.
“I need to make sure that Bhasera is sorted out. He arrived here over the weekend. He is here on a private visit. We just want to sort out something,” said Nkomo.
When asked if he would consider offering Bhasera to Chiefs, Nkomo replied by pointing out that the defending PSL champions have got a lot of depth in the left back position.
“Kaizer Chiefs have enough left backs. It would be wrong of me to take him there because I’ve got another left-back there in Jimmy (Jambo),” explained Nkomo.
Bhasera was one of the best players at the Amakhosi during his spell with the Soweto giants, between 2007 and 2009.
