News reaching the Siya crew is that former Kaizer Chiefs left back, Onismor Bhasera, has been invited for a trial by Turkish Super League side Sanica Boru Elazigspor.
Bhasera is currently a free agent after refusing to sign a contract extension with English League Two side Plymouth Argyle, as reported in the latest edition of Soccer-Laduma, issue number 828.
Bhasera’s agent, Ralph Nkomo, told the Siya crew that Bhasera will hold talks with the Elazigspor coach early next week and then join the Turkish club in the Netherlands for a preseason camp, from July 12 to July 14.
“I don’t normally send my players to Turkey, but the thing is, I know the Elazigspor coach personally. I have worked with him before, so when he asked me if he could have a closer look at Bhasera, I agreed,” said Nkomo.
“If the offer is good and Onismor is happy to join Elazigspor, then we’ll sign. But I don’t want to speculate what could happen, so let’s wait and see,” added Nkomo.
Bhasera signed for Argyle as a free agent in March of 2010, after winning his case against Chiefs, who were claiming that he was still contracted to them.
