The midfielder suffered a minor knee injury after scoring a brace in Barca’s last La Liga match- a 4-1 win over Real Betis.
He limped off the field, and it was feared that he had suffered a relapse of a debilitating injury he had three years ago.
Along with new Spanish international Diego Costa, Fabregas was withdrawn from Spain’s squad to play during the current international break.
He remained in Barcelona for treatment and rehabilitation, and has recovered in time to participate in training ahead of Barca’s weekend fixture.
"The FC Barcelona players returned to training this rainy Monday afternoon after enjoying the weekend off and Cesc participated in the session," Barca said on their website.
Cesc’s return will boost Barca’s hopes of maintaining their unbeaten start to the season, when Granada visit the Camp Nou on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Cesc’s fellow Spanish internationals, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba, continue their own rehabilitation from injury, but neither are expected to feature this weekend.
