SSU Close To Borman Deal
10 February 2012
SuperSport United are close to acquiring the services of former New York Red Bulls’ defender, Danleigh Borman.
The Siya crew revealed recently that Borman, along with Benni McCarthy’s younger brother Mark, were on trial with Matsatsantsa and that they were hopeful that a deal could be agreed between the parties.
Borman has taken part in friendlies for Gavin Hunt’s side over the last week and it seems that he has done enough to impress the technical team at SuperSport and the crew can reveal that a deal should be done in the next two days.
The 27-year-old, who can play at left-back or left-wing, came through the youth ranks at Santos before leaving for the Rhode Island Rams in America in 2004, he has since played for the Rhode Island Stingrays, the Red Bulls and Toronto FC before his current move that is likely to see him spend the foreseeable future in the PSL.
SuperSport begin their second half of the season in a game against Free State Stars on February 15th.

we didn't sign colored people, we signed quality, black south africans like me n u,we all know khanyeza unjani, cale was on fire at ajax we all know that but neva got game time, doutie was a power house at ajax we all know that. gymah from Ghana is good and he's on a national team under 23.I'm happy that we let an old lazy foreign go, laffour, and gave young gifted south africans chance to play soccer.

Have nothing against players of colour. Pay my respects to McCarthy, Fortune, Buckley, August, Williams et al. However, what is happening at Supersport and Gavin Hunt's recent signings border on a coloured tag. Ronwen, Doubtie, Cale and now another Boesman. Eeishhh, talk about bringing Cape Flats to Pretoria. Pretoria dentists better consider other business options. Ka bo yellow 4 life
