Zuke Eyeing Stars Contract

25 January 2012

The Siya crew has it on good authority that Sandile Zuke is training with Platinum Stars in the hope of returning to the PSL.

Zuke started the season playing for Mpumalanga Black Aces, having suffered relegation from the PSL with the team at the end of last season. However, he now finds himself club-less after having parted ways with the struggling NFD side.

A source close to the former Kaizer Chiefs player confirmed his presence at the Phokeng-based side.

“Sandile Zuke is training with Platinum Stars I see him almost every day. I went to watch him the other day in one of the recent friendly games for Stars. Like I tell you, I see him almost every day, driving in his white Polo to Platinum Stars training. He hasn’t been signed yet and I don’t know if they will sign him,” said the source.

Stars have just acquired the services of three players from Orlando Pirates on loan for the remainder of the season. Lucas Thwala, Chiukepo Msowoya and Patrick Malokase have all been allowed to join Stars in their quest to get more game time.

@Strtz_Saint plz just leave that Doc Khumalo, that guy is a failed project, you should expect that from a Zebra breed. They like pointing fingers at other people while they are doing worst things, how do you explain exploiting the poor and destitute Zimabwean kids? You give their families food parcels to get their kids to work for you, that's what Bobby does in Zimbabwe.

Which player from the Zebra development is successful? All their development players have either retired from football or are drunkards and junkies, the likes of Malatsi, Mbuthu, Pule, Nkambule, Mabotsa, Khanye, Ncanana to name the few. No wonder they resort on crossing the border to Zim for "'young stars"', the like of Nengomasha, Sweswe, Jukulile, Mabedi.

This guy was once considered a prospect for the Zebra future but was never given enough game time, yet Doc Khumalo has the guts to attack Pirates about signing over 30's in his column today on the SL edition.
