Yende Recovers
21 February 2012
Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder, Mthokozisi Yende, did not pitch up Friday’s training session after succumbing to illness.
Our informer explained that the former Tuks player was set to be part of the squad that headed to Port Elizabeth for the club’s game against Jomo Cosmos, although the Tembisa-born player was excluded from playing due to a stomach bug.
A source at the club told the Siya crew, “He had an actual stomach bug and did not feel well. Look, he was not alone, even football director, Bobby Motaung, and some of the other players have had the running stomach before and after the said game. It is not like he was upset or absconded, the club management and the technical team were both aware that he was not at all well.”
The ex-University of Pretoria man has made only a handful of appearances for Chiefs this year, starting only four games for the club.
Despite the illness the midfielder played and scored in a Kaizer Chiefs reserve game last night, so it seems that he will be back in the full side in the near future.

yende is 100% better than any attacking central mid @chiefs but the coach always prefers baloyi who is more of a holding mid similar to nengomashe hence the boy can feel unwanted sometimes bobby must get his act together we are not a Micky mouse team this coach need to know that he is destroying the boy`s chances of playing for bafana nxa !!!

You killing the player's commercial value with that kind of headline! Why don't I see such headlines about Rugby or cricket players. This is one of propaganda by white owned media houses to portray anything black as a failure! I now regret subscribing to your online paper! Sies!

If he did so what; it's our media that destroys our players sometimes; I know it's not their job to protect them but some stories are not worth publishing. He missed training and yet he played yesterday and scored. People miss work and athletes miss training; it happens all the time; how many rugby, cricket, or hockey players miss training; and who reports it? SoccerLaduma's obsession with Kaizer Chiefs it's disgusting to say the least! PS: if by 5 o'clock tomorrow morning I don't get my online version of the paper ready for download then I want my money (R175 12 month subscription fee) back! NXXX!
