For the past few seasons Kaizer Chiefs have not excelled in the Nedbank Cup, having been knocked out by the lower tier outfits. Last campaign they were sent packing by Baroka FC.
This year they come up against Cape Town All Stars in the round of Last 32 and coach Vladimir Vermezovic told the Siya crew that he expects a different cup run this time round. Vermezovic said that they will not underestimate their opponents as that would be a mistake.
"In the past seasons we have not done very well in this tournament but we have to change this season. We are playing at home and I think this is a good draw for us and we have to take full advantage and win to go to the next round and even further. We will fight much harder this time around," Vermezovic said.

I vividly recall Chiefs/Tuks game where the ref put a man of the match perfomance 4 a full strength Chiefs tim,but he still ended on the losing side! Who cn 4get a penalty given when Kaizer jnr tripped himself with no defender insight n Torrealba's hand of devil! Legendary Sibeko scored a never existed penalty against a roving Nathi Lions 2 progress 2 the nxt round against a rampant Baroka! Robbing the defenceless,thats Chiefs 4 u! THATS THE TRUTH!
