05 November 2012
Namibian goalkeeper Virgil Vries has revealed to the Siya crew that he is aiming to land himself a deal in the PSL, during the upcoming January transfer window.
The former Golden Arrows shot-stopper has signed a short-term contract with Orlando Pirates in the Namibian Premier League, however is looking to make a return to the PSL. Following his release form the KZN-based outfit, he returned to his native Namibia in order to boost his chances of retaining the national team’s number one jersey.
“I’m with Pirates for now but I still hope to return to South Africa. I have played four games for the team so far and we haven’t conceded a goal. I’m enjoying my stay with the team. We are third on the log with 10 points and as I say, so far so good.
“I’ve got nothing to complain about. I have signed until December so probably in January I will be back in South Africa,” said Vries.
