Two Year Deal For Van Heerden
21 February 2012
The Soccer-Laduma web and mobi-site recentely reported that AmaZulu were set to offer their defender, Marc van Heerden, a new contract. The Siya crew has it on good authority that the side has indeed extended the player’s contract by a further two-and-a-half years.
The news was confirmed to the Soccer-Laduma’s Siya team by Usuthu’s communications manager Philani Mabaso.
“He has extended because I remember that last week his agent came down for negotiations. Everything went well in the negotiations and yes he has signed,” said Mabaso.
The former University of Pretoria left back has been enjoying game time under coach Roger Palmgren at AmaZulu. Van Heerden is currently missing from the team nursing an injury.
The team is hoping for his return so that he can help them in their attempt to progress to a top eight position on the log standings. AmaZulu are yet to win in 2012 after losing both their games played so far in the second round.

MZWANELE74, Khune "on top of his game"? Did you see Avril Phadi on sunday? He was superb. Phali is the best goalkeeper in the country at the moment.
