SuperSport To Camp In Cape Town
03 February 2012
The Siya crew can reveal that SuperSport United will hold their mid-season training camp in Cape Town, in preparation for the second round of the season!
According to our sources at the club, Matsatsantsa a Pitori will be landing in the Mother City on Tuesday, February 7 and will be there until Saturday the 11th, where they will be training and playing practice matches against Cape-based teams.
The three-time league champions’ communication manager, David Skosana, confirmed the news to the crew. “Yes it is true that we’re going to Cape Town but I can’t give you the specific dates yet. We will be playing friendly games with local teams, like we always do when we go on camp,” he explained.
SuperSport are currently lying second on the Absa Premiership table, three points behind arch-rivals and league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, and will resume their league campaign on February 15 when they host Free State Stars at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.
