Stars Reject Sahula

The Siya crew can reveal that Lwazi Sahula will not be signed by Free State Stars. The Port Elizabeth-born midfielder recently attended a trial with the club in the hope of resurrecting his flagging career.

News reaching the crew is that Sahula failed to live up to the expectations at training and impress coach Steve Komphela and his technical team, and was subsequently allowed to leave empty handed.

 

“He is no longer here. Look, to me the guy looked a bit overweight for this level. He tried his best but I think his weight let him down. I understand that he is club-less but he should take care of his body to prepare for situations like this, going to trials,” said a Soccer-Laduma source.

 

Sahula has been in search of a club since his return from Denmark a few years ago. Having trained with both Ajax Cape Town and Moroka Swallows since his return, the midfielder is having no luck on the domestic front.
