Shabba: We Need To Change
22 January 2013
After failing to win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations opening game against Cape Verde on Saturday, Bafana Bafana will go into Wednesday's tie against Angola with the aim of bagging all three points.
South Africa played to a goalless draw at the National Stadium, however the fixture between Angola and Morocco also ended 0-0, meaning that after their first round of games, all the teams in Group A are on a level pegging.
Midfielder Siphiwe "Shabba" Tshabalala admits that Bafana will need to change their approach at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, he said that they have to be more aggressive.
He told the Siya crew that each and every player needs to take responsibility in the team and start scoring goals.
"We need to change our approach as a team. Everyone in the team should be able to score and defend. We have been playing well, but failing to find the back of the net, which is not helping us at all.
“Against Angola we should change that and score. If we win on Wednesday we have the tournament to fight for. And we know we will win on Wednesday," the Kaizer Chiefs winger said.
