Senamela & Mbele Told To Improve

05 February 2013

AmaZulu midfielders Kagiso Senamela and Bongani Mbele have been told by the club to improve their performances and convince the technical team that they do deserve to be in the team.

The pair will both see their current contracts come to an end in June and as of yet, Usuthu is undecided on whether they will table respective new deals for the two players.

AmaZulu’s general manager, Peter O’ Connor, confirmed that the duo have been told to shape up or ship out, telling the Siya crew, “They need to raise their game and play as well as they can if they are to be retained come the end of the season.”

Under former coach, Roger Palmgren, the duo were key players and regulars in the side, however things seem to have changed and they now face a fight on their hands if they are to remain at the club.

Meanwhile, Tamsanqa Teyise is yet to have the option on his contract exercised, with O’Connor expecting improvements in the player’s game before offering him the extension.

Senamela is the best in the Amazulu midfield, He makes the time tick instead tell Mokoro, Vilakazi to improve.

Fezah: As a former soccer player you should know better that professional football is abt 'following coach's instructions from A-Z. So you cannot expect Bongani the way he used when he was still an amateur. Bongani is now also coming up against intelligent defenders in the PSL. Amazulu just need an excuse not to renew these guys contracts. They signed mediocre players at the beginning of the season eg Sfiso Vilakazi but expect different results.
