Scott Staying Patient
14 February 2012
Santos midfielder, Romano Scott, is hoping to stay patient as he continues to look for a way to reignite his career. The 27-year-old Capetonian had been expected to leave the club in the recent transfer window with NFD sides, Bay United and Thanda Royal Zulu both interested in acquiring his services.
However, after no deal was agreed between the clubs and Santos, the midfielder has had to stay put.
The player, who has represented Bafana Bafana at under-17, under-20 and under-23 level, has been struggling of late with the club and hasn’t even managed to secure a full 90 minutes with The People’s Team’s reserves and it is thought that he is becoming quite frustrated with the situation.
Despite the talks of frustrations, Scott told Soccer-Laduma that he is trying to stay upbeat.
He said, “I’m just trying to stay positive because my contract runs out in June, then I’ll have to go on trial in the off-season. Bay United were interested but at this point I really need to try and convince a PSL club.”
