Santos Sign Morris!

23 January 2012

The Siya crew can exclusively reveal that Santos have sealed a deal that will see SuperSport United defender Nasief Morris join the Cape-based side on a loan deal.

There had been strong rumours linking the 30-year-old to the Cape Town side and the crew recently reported that talks between both the clubs and the player had been on going.

Goolam Allie, the Santos chairman, confirmed that the former Racing Santander man has joined the Landsdowne team. Allie explained, “The deal for Nasief Morris is done, it’s a loan deal for six months and he should be joining up with the team today.”

Allie will be hoping that Morris can use his experience to organise the defence for The People’s Team and see the team concede fewer goals.

Meanwhile, a source at the club explained that the club could  still sign more players before the end of the January transfer window.

“There are players at Orlando Pirates that the club are looking at, they have also shown an interest in bringing in Sundowns’ player, (Koketso) Mmotong,” revealed the source.
