Santos Look To Tshikovhi
01 February 2012
Santos will sign another defender, this time aiming to acquire the services of Rofhiwa Tshikovhi. The tall defender, who is soon to turn 23, will sign with the club but will be loaned out immediately to Santos’ Vodacom team, Mitchell’s Plain.
The news surrounding Tshikovhi was confirmed to the Siya crew by the club’s chairman, Goolam Allie, who explained that they do indeed want the former Jomo Cosmos player.
The People’s Team have already snapped up the likes of Gert Schalkwyk and Nasief Morris during this transfer window and, even though Tshikovhi is set to be loaned straight out, the Santos fans should see it as a positive move for the future as they look to bolster their defensive line.
Santos will be hoping to have a more successful start to the second half of the season as they look to clamber out of their poor league position, starting with an away game against Moroka Swallows on February 15.
