Santos Call Press Conference

01 February 2012

Cape Town-based PSL side, Santos, have called an urgent press conference as they prepare to unveil their January signings, Matthew Pattison, Nasief Morris and Pa Dembo Touray.

The club have bolstered their defensive options intensively since the close of the season, bringing in the experienced Morris, 30, in defence, the highly-rated Pattison, 25, as a holding midfielder and Gambian international, Dembo Touray, 31, as cover for their goalkeepers.

The People’s Team also brought in a new attacking option in the shape of Gert Schalkwyk, who will no doubt be a bonus for their struggling side as they look to climb up the table and out of their current troublesome position.

There is also a chance that the press conference could be used to elaborate on the coaching situation at the club, although according to Soccer-Laduma sources, Goolam Allie is set to give their temporary coach, Duncan Crowie, a chance to prove himself in the role.
