Pelembe Signs New Sundowns Deal!
13 January 2012
The Siya crew can confirm that Elias Pelembe has penned a new deal with Mamelodi Sundowns. Downs tabled a three-and-half year extension which means he will be with the club until the end of the 2015 season.
Pelembe’s contract was set to expire at the end of the current campaign and his future at Chloorkop was in doubt with the Mozambican international having been linked with a big-money move to both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
The speculation surrounding the 28-year-old’s future can now be put to rest, in what has been one of the most talked about dealings of the January transfer window.
A highly placed source at the club told the Siya crew that the deal was sealed on Friday the 13th of January, 2012.
"I just called to tell you that Sundowns have finally signed a new three-and-half year deal with Pelembe. It took almost the whole day for the two parties to agree the deal but they have extended his stay," explained the source.
Sundowns' senior legal and commercial manager, Yogesh Singh, confirmed the news. "Yes, I can confirm that we have signed a new three-and-half year deal with Pelembe.” said Singh.
He added, “I think this will put the speculation to an end, which has been going on about the player. As a team we are happy to keep Pelembe here and he is also happy to stay.”

Thanks Pelepele, these rats were already celebrating. I knew they couldn't afford u, they won trebble but they are still bankrupt after being hit by a recession for the last ten years. They'll never recover cos all that money is being used for Mc Cowthy's salary. Ek se " Mc Cowthy my bra vreet, die mense is nog dronk van black label''

Well, he is good player-he was good player even after claims of signing to Pirates- he is still good after renewing his contract with Sundowns.Let us not comment on anger and disappointment.Pirates have balanced wingers & addition of Pelembe(whom they wanted so hard-don't deny it) would have meant players like Bester,Mayambela,Mabalane,Segolela,Doutie are in deep problem. Good luck on Sundowns Majayivane.I so wished that Bobby signed you.....
