Nomandela Snipes Bragging Rights
09 December 2012
ABSA Premiership
Teams: Free State Stars 1-0 Bloemfontein Celtic
Date: 9 December 2012
Venue: Charles Mopeli Stadium
Referee: Zolile Mthetho
Free State Stars claimed bragging rights with a 1-0 victory over cross-town rivals Bloemfontein Celtic in the Premiership on Sunday.
Luyolo Nomandela sniped the spoils with a last-gasp winner at Charles Mopeli Stadium.
In a dour derby, Stars threatened early on, as Anver Esterhuizen's shot drew a save from goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb two minutes in.
Tignyemb was forced into action again in the 10th and 20th minute respectively, with the Cameroonian equal to Moeketsi Mvula's separate efforts.
At the other end, Jacky Motshegwa fired harmlessly over the cross bar midway through the stanza, while Celtic playmaker Ruzaigh Gamildien put his attempt wide eight minutes before the interval.
The second period saw more of the same, with the sides trading efforts without reward until late on.
Joel Mogorosi, Lerato Manzini, a half-time replacement for ex-Jomo Cosmos hitman Siyabonga Nontshinga, and Gamildien had unsuccessful cracks on goal for Phunya Sele Sele, as did Lennox Bacela, who was denied by Zambian Africa Cup of Nations winner Kennedy Mweene in the 78th minute.
Ea Lla Koto's Dove Wome and Tsietsi Mkwanazi were likewise unable to find a way through.
However, Nomandela struck the decisive blow in the sixth minute of stoppage time to snatch three points.
Free State Stars: Kennedy Mweene, Luyola Nomandela, Sadate Ouro-Akorika, Enver Esterhuizen, Enva Wiltwer, Angelo Kerspuy (Mhamha 74'), Daniel Cardoso, Tsietsi Mkwanazi, Paulus Masehe, Dove Wome, Moeketsi Mvula (Berrian 54').
Bloemfontein Celtic: Patrick Tignyemb, Tsietsi Mahoa, Thabo Nthethe, Limbikani Mzava, Dominic Isaacs, Jacky Motshegwa (Leonard 76'), Itumeleng Duiker, Joel Mogorosi (Lakay 90+3'), Ruzaigh Gamildien, Siyabonga Nontshinga (Manzini 46'), Lennox Bacela.
Goals: Luyolo Nomandela (Stars 90+6').

Where are those clowns who were mocking my boy about his 'Surname' before the season started! I told them to wait and they will eat that humble pie. This boy is going places and most definitely to his favourite team!!!
