Myeni Close To Pirates Move!

25 January 2012

Orlando Pirates have already added a few key signings to their squad in the mid-season break. Most recently the club unveiled former Fulham forward Luis Boa Morte as a new Buccaneer.

The Siya crew can now confirm that the club is not done with their January transfer window shopping spree just yet and have commenced talks with Wits' attacking midfielder Sifiso Myeni!

Even though Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns recently agreed terms for the transfer of Myeni, the player and Sundowns couldn't agree on personal terms.

Soccer-Laduma sources have since revealed that Myeni has met with Orlando Pirates and they've started serious discussions for a transfer, and have agreed on terms!

Wits are aware of the talks between the two parties, however a deal will be determined only if Pirates and Roger de Sa's team can reach a transfer agreement.

Pirates' interest in another Wits player, Patrick Phungwayo, is still going strong and the club is hoping to wrap up talks for the services of both players before the close of the transfer window.
