Mphahlele Working On Fitness

16 February 2012

Ramahlwe Mphahlele

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele has revealed to Soccer-Laduma that his aim is to gain as much fitness as possible in the second stanza of the campaign.

The former Moroka Swallows player ended the first round on the sidelines due to the muscle strain that forced him to miss the side’s seven consecutive games.

However, the SA U23 international has confirmed to the Siya crew that the injury is a thing of the past and his sights are set on getting back into the Johan Neeskens’ team.

Rama, as Mphahlele is known in football circles, was in Sundowns team that played a reserve league game against Kaizer Chiefs on Monday and did fairly well.

“I was in the team and played for the entire 90 minutes. I think I did fine although I must admit that I’m not yet 100% fit. The main thing for me to do right now is to get the match fitness because I’ve been out for a long time.

"I think this Monday league will help us the players coming from injuries and those that are looking for game time,” said Mphahlele.

wel i still u mphahlele needs to work-hard on your physical nd mental stability. At tyms u get cought napping nd mistakes lyk that can really hurt the teams progress, i mean if u want to cement your place at downs u need compousure, unbelivable engin, mental fitness, pace nd philosophical intelligency not 4getin dcipline baba nd ull go far.
