Mosia On Trial At Wits
03 February 2012
The Siya crew can reveal that Simphiwe Mosia has surfaced at Wits for an assessment by The Students. The 25-year-old midfielder wants to play in the PSL after spending a few years playing abroad.
Mosia, otherwise known as Boy Boy in football circles, has been unlucky in his search for a club since his return from overseas where he was playing for Oud-Heverlee Leuven on loan from KVC Westerlo.
Mosia was on the books of Ajax Cape Town at some stage, and had a stint at Orlando Pirates before he went to fine-tune his skills abroad. Wits’ striker, Sifiso Vilakazi, confirmed Mosia’s presence at the club.
“He is here training with us. I think he started on Tuesday and to me he is doing fairly well although I cannot really judge him because he hasn’t been here for long,” said Vilakazi.
Mosia is a product of the School of Excellence and a former South African youth international, having represented both the Under-20 and the Under-23 teams.
