More Changes At Arrows?

21 January 2012

Despite rumours suggesting that some of the Golden Arrows players will be exiting the club, their coach Muhsin Ertugral has explained that there have been no offers for their players as of yet.

The Turkish coach has already brought in six players this transfer window and it is thought that there will need to be a bit of a clear out in Durban in order to keep the squad at a reasonable size.

Siyabonga Nkosi, Katlego Mashego and Thanduyise Khuboni have all been linked with moves away for different reasons however Ertugral insisted that there has been no offers.

Ertugral told the Siya crew, “There is nothing on the tables yet, no one has come in for our players but we’ll see. Siya (Nkosi) is doing very well and I wouldn’t be keen to see him go. With Mashego, we’ll talk, we have a few good strikers now.”

Meanwhile, the Turk denied reports that the club were looking to sign Mamelodi Sundowns man, Papi Zothwane, although admitted he would love to sign him should he get the chance in the future.

In response to whether he would look at signing the 30-year-old midfielder he said, “Not now no, I was crazy about Papi when I was at Chiefs but it wasn’t possible. I think I would be interested at the end of the season, I rate him very highly, he’s a great player. I think Papi would be welcome in any team.”
