Mbuyane: We Are Professionals

20 February 2012

Thulasizwe Mbuyane

Orlando Pirates lost 3-1 in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday against Angolan side CRD Libolo.

Though it was their home game, the team decided against playing at their usual, more familiar home ground of Orlando Stadium, instead opting to move the game to Port Elizabth.

Winger Thulasizwe Mbuyane believes they are more used to playing at Orlando Stadium, where they have more supporters compared to the Nelson Mandela Bay arena, but added that the venue did not cause the result.

“Playing at Orlando Stadium we are used to it and we have more supporters rallying behind the team. I am not saying Port Elizabeth don’t have supporters they have and we cannot take that away from them but you know when you play your home games at Orlando Stadium you feel that you are at home. Even the ground is different.

"But in the same vein, we are professional and we should be used to playing anywhere at any time. In the league we play away in Cape Town and Durban and we do well. I think even  against the Angolan side, if we had taken our chances it could have been a different story. We missed a lot of scoring opportunities which could have changed the game. We just have to go and fight in the away game and do what they did at our home and see what happens after that,” Mbuyane concluded.

As long as the coach is tellephone pole leal,no fighting spirit will be there my man.Krol had an orgernised team, and had the fighting spirit too.Leal make players relax, and play when they want to.That is not the way to go.Up the Bucs.

If you were professionals you would have taken that game serious, nothing professional. It's a shame to lose like this at PE which is even our home ground
