Mayambela Shines For Bucs’ Reserves
08 February 2013
Orlando Pirates midfielder Mark Mayambela is once again enjoying his football at the club, turning out for the team in the Gauteng Reserve League.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic player, who is in the last few months of his contract with Bucs, has been scoring goals for the side in recent times.
Mayambela was influential as Pirates thrashed Moroka Swallows 5-1 at the Delville Sports Grounds on Thursday afternoon. The skilful midfielder scored one of the goals for the team, with the other goals coming from Ndumiso Mabena and Takesure Chinyama, who scored two a piece.
“Mark played very well when he came on. The score was 1-1 at half time. He came on and scored. He was involved in the other goals as well. He had a good game,” a source told the Siya crew.
Mayambela’s goal comes after the two goals he scored in the 2-0 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns a week ago, with the Bucs fan-favourite undoubtedly itching for game time in the first team.
He is yet to play in an official game for Pirates this season, although the club has included him in their CAF Champions League squad.

A Negative Mayambela : SKILLFUL + WASTEFUL = SKILLFUL-WASTE On the other hand : A Positive Mayambela SKILLFUL + EFFECTIVE = STAR. Perhaps the Coach needs to sit him down and oriantate him on the aspects of his game, players like him a rare to find - only if they use their skills effectively and efficiently to the benefit of the co-players and the Team, Golden Bood!!!
