Marques Assessing Mpangase

14 February 2013

Moroka Swallows coach Zeca Marques confirmed with the Siya crew that he is still assessing Phelelani Mpangase, with a possible deal on the cards.

The former Platinum Stars defender is training with the Dube Birds as he looks to land himself a new PSL deal.

“We’re open-minded about him. When we invited him to come down we just wanted to look at him, and to see if there will be any opportunities in the future. He is training with us,” said Marques.

Swallows have just signed former Chippa United player Larry Cohen, to bolster their midfield. The Dobsonville-based outfit is looking to strengthen their squad as they see out their 2012/13 campaign.

In addition, former Black Leopards defender Siphiwe Mkhonza is still training with the side under the watchful eye of Marques and his technical team.

Guys when are you going to stop swearing at us (BIRDS)? Your teams sign good, young and talented players but always face difficult experienced players in Swallows bt we nevr had problem with that. Why is it so?

S.Mkhonza still playing soccer, yhoh!!!! As for Mpangase he is a good player who just need to polish/work smart to improve his performance. Swallows would benefit from having him.
