Mapemba: Have To Close Chiefs Down
20 November 2012
Kaizer Chiefs have scored more goals than any other team in this season’s Absa Premiership, while having conceded the least.
Tonight Moroka Swallows take on their cross-city rivals, Chiefs, at the FNB Stadium in a Soweto derby and the Dube Birds will need to be at their best if they are to claim any points from the current log leaders.
Swallows defender, Gilbert Mapemba, believes that the game will be won or lost in the middle of the park. The Zimbabwean told the Siya crew that Chiefs are clinical when they attack and they will have to stop them from getting into attacking positions.
He said that they will break their play down in midfield, denying them the ability to create goal scoring opportunities.
"They are a good attacking team. They play much in the midfield before moving up front, so if we can close them down in the midfield then we can have the chance to attack them as well.
“We also want to go into this game and get the three points. We have had mixed results and what we need now is the three points and move up on the log," Mapemba concluded.
