Malokase’s Absence Explained

28 November 2012

Platinum Stars striker, Patrick Malokase, has been a notable absentee from Cavin Johnson’s starting lineup this season.

The former Orlando Pirates player has started in just three games for Dikwena all season, while making a handful of substitute appearances during the team’s impressive run in the current campaign.

Sources within the Phokeng-based club have since explained to the Siya crew that Malokase’s lack of progress has been affected by his child’s health. The 31-year-old’s child is back at home and suffering with illness, which in turn has affected his focus.

Coach Johnson confirmed that the former Bloemfontein Celtic player has faced personal issued which needed his attention.

Malokase was a key man in the Dikwena set-up last season, while on loan from Pirates, which earned him a permanent move to the club. The player is, however, training with the rest of the Dikwena squad, and the technical team will be looking forward at calling on the veteran for goals.

Stars have already scored 18 league goals this season and are currently sat in fourth place on the Absa Premiership log.
