Majoro Wants Afcon Spot
14 December 2012
Kaizer Chiefs’ in-form striker, Lehlohonolo Majoro, has made it his goal to be a part of Gordon Igesund’s 2013 African Cup of Nations Bafana Bafana squad.
The former AmaZulu player has received a call-up to the national team for the international friendly against Malawi on December 22 and is hoping to be included in the final Afcon squad that will represent the nation at next year’s continental show piece.
Having netted eight league goals in the current campaign, the 26-year-old leads the goal scoring charts on equal goals with teammate Bernard Parker.
“As I said the other time, I was surprised I was not selected while I was playing so well and scoring goals in almost every game but I think the coach knew what he was doing. But despite not being selected at first, I continued working hard and that paid off and now I am in the team.
“The most important thing is for me to be in the final team. I will work hard to achieve that and represent my country in Afcon. You know I have never started a game in Bafana colours and I am not saying I am the answer to goal scoring, but I have never started a game. I want to be there and do my job, that's all," said Majoro.

With all these Tap-ins.............I mean lousy step-ins, I'm trying hard to find the word to describe the kind of defense that has been toyed around with these stepin's. Before the end of the day.........I'll give you a perfect name for them, but surely they are pathetic...........allowing 8 step-ins from one player and claim to be a defense worthy of salt. As for allowing him to score the 8th step-in in a derby yet you know exactly he has been doing that 7 times before???? Worse part, within that pathetic defense there's a SKIPPER's ARM BEND.
