Mabuya Training At Celtic
25 January 2012
The Siya crew can reveal that Kamohelo Mabuya is in Mangaung training with Bloemfontein Celtic in the hope of making a comeback to big time football.
Mabuya last played for Bloemfontein-based Vodacom League outfit, Roses United, the side that competed in last season’s Vodacom national playoffs in Cape Town.
Celtic CEO, Khumbulani Konco, confirmed the defender’s presence at the club. “Yes, he is here,” said Konco. He added, “The player is just training for now and hasn’t been signed yet.”
Before he went to Celtic, Mabuya was keeping fit by training with players such as Ditheko Mototo and Tumelo Nhlapo in the Free State.
Celtic finished the first round of the season on a high after registering consecutive wins against this season’s PSL title chasers Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United.
The club wants to continue with that impressive form when the league resumes on February 15, and will rely on new signings Papi Zothwane and Ghanaian striker Ransford Osei, who have been brought in to bolster the squad.
