Leonard Leaves For Bloem

26 January 2012

Auguston Leonard

Moroka Swallows striker, Auguston Leonard, today departed for Bloemfontein to begin his loan stint with PSL side, Bloemfontein Celtic.

Swallows and Celtic agreed a deal that will see the 20-year-old join Phunya Sele Sele on loan in order for him to try and get some game time.

Leonard, has been capped at both under-20 and under-23 but hasn’t managed to make an impact with the Birds under Gordon Igesund and hasn’t made a single appearance for them this year.

The young forward was a product of Swallows’ youth team but has only pulled on the shirt 22 times since he was promoted to the first team.

The Dube Birds and Siwelele reached an agreement for the Boksburg-born forward earlier in the week and the player will now be available for Celtic’s next league fixture against Golden Arrows on 15 February when the PSL league starts it’s second round of fixtures.

I think Celtic should sign outright this player, please don't wait for his loan deal to expire. Remember what happened to Siphelele, we have a gem in our stable don't lose it.

Leornard just recovered from knee operation which sideline him more than 6 months. May the coach feels he won"t get enough chance in order to regain the fitness and he decides to loan him.Nomvete is also doing well it will be very hard to any player to compete with him. Birds by birth.

Ola members ola , I'm troubled by this loan thing y? Remember Masanabo was a promising striker who was loaned and finished his career at Platinum stars . We also signed most loaned players . Loaned players turn to fall in love with those host teams . More like" a home away from home " . Let's fly

I remember the goal he scored against Baroka and Arrows brilliant goals. The question I am asking myself is does he have a long term contract? Cause I wanna c him back at the Nest. Remember Bhengu Cibi? They were sent on loan and did not come back, so is he coming back? I am maroon let's fly

@Owakhe and Black-Panther,Editor is right he is a product of Swallows. Who is a stupid now. Yes he was registered as pirates player on their development ,he didn't last long at Pirates. He was recruited by swallows supporter from Voslo.. while playing in Boksburg sport ground. he brought him to swallows development under youth development Coach Paul. then He was promoted by Zobel the season before last..How long did he stay at Pirates development if you don't know the answer is better SHUT YOUR MOUTH.
