Latest On Gould!
03 August 2011
While SuperSport United defender Morgan Gould has been seeking a move away from the club abroad, the Siya crew has been reporting since last season that on the local front, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are very interested in his services.
Their interest was confirmed by all parties involved and it can now be reported that both Chiefs and Sundowns were put off by SuperSport's high price tag on Gould's head, said to be in excess of R5 million!
According to insiders at both clubs, the teams are determined to sign a centre back during the current transfer window, and Sundowns are even currently in the throes of trying to sign Clayton Daniels from Ajax Cape Town.
Confirming Sundowns and Chiefs' interest in Gould, SuperSport's chief operations officer Jose Ferreira said, "Both clubs are after the player but neither have come anywhere near the asking price. In fact we've now made the decision that Gould is not for sale at any price!"
When contacting the player's agent Glyn Binkin for comment he said, "I'm currently overseas so I'm not going to make a statement on that. But I will say how impressed I am at Chiefs and Pirates, who improved their squads by signing Bernard Parker and Benni McCarthy."

The price is not R5m but EXCESS R5m, do you understand now fans. We could be talking R8m here, Thats why even Motsepe is put off. Its unreasonable. Mind you our league is only R10m. Meaning that if u managed to win the league u only get R2m in return. In fact nothing coz the R2m goes to his salary.....stupid business if u ask me!!!!!

It does not make sense to buy gould for 5 million he has no resale value so its like buying a 1996 bmw 325 why waste money on a player tht wont have any resale value soccer is a business and as supporters we always speak crap bcoz we dnt understand how football works ssu can go and shove their player down the drain this is why our football goes nowhere bcoz our fans dnt understand the logic behind buying and selling of players pirates are paying benni 350 gorrilas for wht bcoz they cant sell him to any1 be wise whn u are a fan and visualise whjy chiefs dnt just break the bank for overage players
