Langwe Not Concerned

16 February 2012

Asive Langwe

Wits midfielder Asive Langwe has revealed to Soccer-Laduma that he is more focused on getting game time in the team than worrying about the issue of his contract.

The product of the Wits juniors finished the past year having successfully forced his way back into the team after his slow start to the season. His contract with the Students is set to come to an end in June, although that does not seem to bother the player.

“My focus is not on those issues really. I am concentrating about my game but to answer you, no one has confirmed anything to me about that,” said Langwe.

The Libode-born player confirmed that he and his team mates will miss playing alongside Sifiso Myeni who left them in January to join Orlando Pirates.

“What can I say? We will miss him but what can we do? We just have to continue playing like we have been doing and work harder,” explain Langwe. The 18-year-old player is hoping to add more appearances next to his five starts in Roger de Sa’s team.

Nw that Myeni is gonne, u are da 1 who cn fill the gap. You have a potential to become even better than him. Just leave all your contract issue to your agent nd concentrate on your job on da field.

I remember his slaughting flops in Mbombela as a 17 year old , he even went on trial at Udinese , why isnt Wits offering him a longer contract . He must talk to Walter Mokoena to get his trials in France , Belgium or Holland if it doesnt worked out he must join Ajax.
