Langwe Interest Grows

05 February 2013

The interest in Wits midfielder Asive Langwe is growing, with a number of PSL outfits keeping a close eye on the talented youngster.

The Siya crew recently revealed that Orlando Pirates are interested in the Libode-born player, however the latest news reaching the crew is that three other clubs are also keen on the youngster.

Moroka Swallows, Ajax Cape Town and Bloemfontein Celtic are watching the player’s current situation at The Students closely, with Langwe having struggled for game time in the first half of the season under former Wits coach, Antonio Lopez Habas.

The 19-year-old made just three substitute appearances under the Spaniard and will now be hoping to get a regular run in the starting 11 under Clive Barker. The player’s contract with the Braamfontein-based outfit runs until 2015, although he is expected to leave the side at the end of the season if his situation remains unchanged.

Langwe did well under Roger de Sa at Wits, when his performances earned him a regular run in Solly Luvhengo’s national Under-20 squad. In 2011, Langwe had a trial at Udinese in Italy and reportedly did well.

@franswore. Masalesa was signed by pirates as a free agent. He was clubless, because his contract was over at Wits. Asive Langwe's future is being destroyed NOW by Wits, as he is not getting game time. So if pirates sign Langwe and not play him, what would be the difference? Because even now he is not playing. Pirates are a big team... no one is guaranteed game time. This is not Chiefs or Sundowns. UMANCANE USE THETHILE KE MAXHEGO! #YOUNGEST BLOGGER ON S.L#

Now this is getting serious, if dis boy signs wit rats, hes doomed. I hop his manager doesnt do what was done 2 masalesa! If de boy (masalesa) had signd 4 chiefs he'd b groiwin s a player by being in de pitch match in n out! So if dis 1 wants 2 b a wasted talent, he shuld go 2 rats!
