Kamwendo Heading To Thailand

Malawian international and former Orlando Pirates midfielder Josephy ‘Shakira’ Kamwendo is expected to sign for Osotspa FC in Thailand’s Premier League.
The player was released by Orlando Pirates at the start of the season and subsequently returned to his native Malawi where he played for the Mighty Wanderers. Following his return to the national team, he was invited for a trial in Turkey, but failing to win over a contract, he headed out to Thailand.
A Soccer-Laduma source in Malawi informed the Siya crew that Kamwendo impressed in Thailand and is now back in Malawi to finalise the proceedings, before making the move a permanent one.
"He arrived yesterday and they have offered him a contract and now it’s up to Wanderers to look at the offer and release him," said the source.
Contacted for comment, Kamwendo confirmed that he will be playing his football in Thailand.
"They told me to sort out some things in Malawi and I have done that now am just waiting for them to do their side but otherwise I will be playing in Thailand," Kamwendo said.
