Jali In Soweto Derby Race

29 November 2012

Orlando Pirates midfielder, Andile Jali, is in a race against time to get himself match fit for next month’s Soweto Derby.

The former University of Pretoria man was ruled out of action with a knee injury earlier this month, however he is now attempting to get himself ready in time to face Kaizer Chiefs on December 8.

According to Siya sources the 22-year-old’s chances of participating are touch and go, with the Chippa United game next week being set as a target for him.

It is thought that if Jali plays no part against the Chilli Boys then he is very unlikely to start the game against Chiefs, however it is believed that he is on track for a recovery.

The Bucs man will also be keen to speed up his return to football in order to try and force his way into Gordon Igesund’s Bafana Bafana squad for the 2013 African Cup of Nations.
