Gould Ahead Of Schedule

06 February 2013

Morgan Gould

Kaizer Chiefs defender, Morgan Gould, is ahead of schedule in his recovery from injury, however won’t be rushed back to the first team.

The 29-year-old suffered an Achilles injury shortly after signing for Amakhosi from SuperSport United and was unfortunately sidelined for a number of months as he attempted to recover.

Gould has now turned out in friendlies for the club, as well as for their reserves in the Gauteng Monday League, however he is still a few weeks off being match fit.

It is thought that even when Gould gets himself back to full fitness he will not be put straight into the Chiefs first team due to the fact that the likes of Tefu Mashamaite and Erick Mathoho have done so well in his absence.

Therefore, the Bafana Bafana international will first have to work on achieving full match fitness and then begin his fight to get back into Baxter’s first team plans.
