Evans To Get One More Year
20 February 2012
Ajax Cape Town is due to make a decision on the future of their veteran defender, Brett Evans, in the near future.
According to club’s CEO, George Comitis, they have already talked to the player about what lies ahead but the final decision will be made around March.
Evans is the longest serving member of the club at present and has been extremely loyal to the Urban Warriors.
The 29-year-old left-back has made over 200 appearances for the Cape Town-based outfit and is one of the few players to have represented Bafana Bafana at every possible level, the height of his caps coming during South Africa’s 2008 African Cup of Nations campaign.
Evans is set to get a new one-year deal with the club and is currently on a part-time deal as a coach to the Ajax juniors as he looks to prepare for life after his playing days have come to an end.
