Dunge Set For Portugal
07 December 2012
South African midfielder, Emmanuel Dunge, looks to have landed himself a deal with Portuguese Primeira Liga side, Pacos de Ferreira.
The Siya crew recently reported that Dunge, a graduate of Farouk Khan’s Stars of Africa academy, had attracted interest from the likes of SC Braga and other Portuguese outfits.
However, a source has now explained that he should complete a move to ‘Os Castores’ in January when the transfer window opens again, before being loaned out as the club look to get him match ready.
The 23-year-old, formerly of Helsingborgs IF in Sweden, has spent time in both Mozambique and Brazil in recent years as he struggled with injury, but now that he is fit he will be hoping to reignite his career.
Pacos de Ferreira have had a good campaign so far this season, though it is thought that Dunge will drop down a division on loan during his first months with them and will then be called up to their first team when he has some game time under his belt.
