Downs Conclude Mphahlele, Letlabika Swap

15 January 2013

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has succeeded in bringing Ramahlwe Mphahlele back to the club, with Wandisile Letlabika moving in the opposite direction.

Mphahlele spent the first round of the 2012/13 campaign on loan with University of Pretoria after he was deemed surplus to requirements under former coach, Johan Neeskens.

Following Mosimane’s appointment at the helm of the Brazilians, the former Bafana Bafana mentor indicated that he wanted the former South African Under-23 international back in his ranks.

The defender has been impressive at Amatuks this season and although he was expected to see out the campaign under coach Steve Barker, he will now be back at Chloorkoop.

Letlabika will join Barker’s ranks as part of a swap deal that will see Mphahlele back in Sundowns colours. Letlabika has been on the sidelines after he too was deemed surplus to requirements by Neeskens.

The 23-year-old has already started training with Tuks and will be hoping to make a success of his spell, as did Mphahlele.

Letlabika’s contract with the Brazilians runs until 2015, having joined the side in the 2011/12 season from Als Puk Tawana.
