De Sa: Pride Of Soweto At Stake

06 December 2012

Roger de Sa

Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa will be coaching his first Soweto derby on Saturday and the importance of the result is not lost on the coach.

The former Wits coach told Soccer-Laduma that because both teams play attacking football, the weekend's derby is set to be an entertaining one.

"Yes we travelled to Cape Town and we had to save few players for the weekend game so that we give the supporters the best of what they want.

"We have prepared properly for this game. As you know both teams play an attacking type of football and that will make it an open game.

"This is not just a three point game. It is more than just that, as pride of the Soweto township is at stake here. We have three injuries in Moeneeb Josephs, Takesure Chinyama and Rudolf Bester but no suspension for the derby," De Sa concluded.
