Chiefs Target Manqele

The Siya crew can reveal that Kaizer Chiefs have targeted Free State Stars striker Edward Jabu Manqele. The 24-year-old has performed with distinction in his first season in the PSL, having signed with the Free State-based side from the Vodacom League.
In addition, the crew has received information that Golden Arrows have also expressed an interest in the player as coach Muhsin Ertuğral looks to reinforce his squad during the January transfer window.
Manqele scored the opener in their 2-1 loss to Chiefs in December, of 2011, which prompted Chiefs in making enquiries into his availability. A Soccer-Laduma source explained that both Chiefs and Arrows are keeping a close eye on the player.
"He is young and he has done very well coming from the Vodacom league. He has proved that with time he can achieve a lot in the PSL, and with these interests from other clubs, he can only be motivated more. January could see a move for him, if all goes well," the source told the Siya crew.
Contacted for comment, the player's agent, Karabo Mathang of P Management, told the crew that the player is contracted to Stars.
"Interest or no interest, he is going nowhere right now. Anyway let's not talk about who is interested in him, or not, but talk about him seeing his contract through at Stars. Yes, he is a good player with a great future but for now he belongs to Free State Stars," Mathang expressed.

@Vovovo I'm not Chips fan but you're right. Chiefs need a target man to be on shape. Your coach always play two supporting strikers who like to run around outside the box. Wonder if he doesn't see dis or he has something against Nqobo...

Lol Manqele a good player? Never...he scores one out of ten chances. I've watched all televised games of free state. Actually he is the one who ussually cost Bra Steve's team. Eish he misses many chances..

This team if eva a miracles happens can buy their wish list but with that idealess coach named Bladymoer it wont help..They first need to get a coach,,cos most players were at their best when he arrived and now the less said the better,,,,,Kaizer Chiefs pls buy that coach out and replace him
