Chapman Injury Blow For Wits

News coming through from Wits is that the side’s leading goal scorer, Ryan Chapman, will be out of the team for some time.
The 24-year-old player was injured in the game against his former club Santos on the weekend, forcing Sibusiso Vilakazi’s introduction in his place.
Wits' general manager George Mogotsi told the Siya crew that Chapman has been ruled out for a period of over a month.
“He will be out for four to five weeks. He is in pain at the moment but should be back towards the end of March,” said Mogotsi.
Chapman has already scored six times for the Students this season. His contribution will be missed as the team needs to get into the top eight. The Wits technical team recently welcomed Emille Baron back from a long layoff. The team will be hoping that Masibusane Zongo’s impressive form continues in their upcoming games.
