Big Names Unlikely For Chiefs

21 January 2013

With less than two weeks of the current transfer window left to go, it is believed that Kaizer Chiefs are unlikely to make any big name signings before it slams shut.

There have been several big names linked to the current PSL leaders in the last month or so, however due to their current league form it seems unlikely that they would bring in a big name signing that could possibly rock the boat at Naturena.

While big-name signings seem improbable, it is a possibility that Chiefs could bring in another youngster or two, having already completed the signing of talented shot-stopper, Reyaad Pieterse.

Their coach, Stuart Baxter, told the Chiefs website, “We are satisfied with the composition of the squad. We will not be making any major signings or we will not be letting go of any players.”

“We might release one player on loan to get game time but we do not want to make many changes and destabilise the team. We have been monitoring the progress of some of our players in the development and we might have a few joining us during the camp.”

It is believed that Chiefs are eager to keep the balance in their team at present, without bringing in any further disruption, however could possibly attempt to strengthen their squad at the end of the season and make a marquee signing when their league campaign is over.
