Baxter: Past Results Don't Count
06 December 2012
Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter says past derby results does not count for much, particularly going into this weekend's big clash. Baxter was speaking ahead of the highly anticipated Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates on Saturday at Soccer City.
He said that this game brings out the best of South African football and he hopes that both teams will be on top of their game.
"Playing in a derby is a different story and whether you won your last game or not it doesn't matter because this is a derby game. It is important that we do our best and I mean both teams so that we can do the derby proud and show the face of true South African football.
"Yeye's injury is not serious. We substituted him for precaution measures and there are no suspensions ahead," the former Bafana Bafana mentor concluded.
