Baxter Calls For Consistency
12 December 2012
This weekend will see the 2012/13 Absa Premiership campaign hit its midpoint, 15 rounds into the season, as log leaders Kaizer Chiefs host University of Pretoria at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Amakhosi coach, Stuart Baxter, is aiming to bounce back to their winning ways following last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates. With only two games left in 2012, he said that they want to end the year on a high note.
The former Bafana Bafana coach wants to end the year at the top of the log, going into the Christmas and African Cup of Nations break.
"We have to win this game. We need to finish in a good position. This marks the end of the first round and we have only lost one game. We want to keep it that way. It won't be easy, but we have to make sure we win.
"The players know it and we all know we have to win. We have played very well but we have to be consistent in the way we play. In some games we have played very well but in other games we have lacked, so we need to be consistent," Baxter concluded.

Ok May 2013 and you can quote me on this: there is a difference between Chiefs and Sundowns/ Ajax / Swallows ok. We will win this. Relax. Just mad we didn't collect all points this round against Rats/maritzburg/Celtic. But next round NO MERCY

You have proved to be a seasoned tactician. For a couch who is his first season in foreign league, inherited a grossly demotivated team with crowd of desperate followers, a team with all its systems being in the state of paralysis..........to achieve what you have done is not a child's play. But you recent cinderella antics, playing big in the media as if you have landed...........but you are yet to show a medal, is surely your potential downfall. Thes sooner you let Jessica and media relations person at chips do his/her work and you concentrate on improving your defensive combinations the better. I may not be a psl couch, but in my corporate governance exposure I've discovered one thing......to be on top, save your energy for what adds value to your core-mandate. Good luck mhlekazi.
